bamberBratting is doing an action to test someone or test the rules. It can also be intentionally provoking someone to get a reaction out of them. Brats see bratting as a game. It’s fun, harmless, and playful. Being mean or hateful is not bratting and will not be tolerated. The line between bratting and not bratting is dependent on a person by person basis. Not every Dominant enjoys being provoked. Being more safe than sorry, check with the Dom to make sure it’s ok with them before you intentionally brat towards them in the server. If they ask you to stop, move on to someone who is more comfortable with the type of bratting you are doing. Just remember, being respectful while bratting is crucial.
A strike in Task Me is given when a brat is disrespectful to Dominants and do bratty things or actions. Please keep in mind all strikes are earned.
The strike system goes as follows: brats earn strikes. The strikes are given and kept tallied on your profile in your tags. When you are given strike 4, strike 8, and strike 10, you are put in jail each time.
While we can’t list everything that equals bratting, we can give some examples of what does constitute bratting and earns a brat a strike.
- The NO DADDY NO RULES emoji, DOWN WITH THE DOMS emoji, GAG THE DOMS emoji, or any emojis that are similar in nature toward Doms.
- Using the previous emojis or emojis like it in a reaction
- Name calling towards Dominants
- Telling Dominants what to do
- Being rude towards Dominants
- Any action that is bratty, like glitter bombs, flipping tables, food fights, or any perceived type of bratting that is disruptive.
Also be aware, deleting a bratty action or reacting to a picture or comment with a bratty reaction and deleting that, will earn 2 strikes. One for the action itself, and one for trying to hide it.
Keep all bratting to #👾bratty-chatty aside from Brat Fridays, unless you want to potentially earn a strike.
All strikes can be appealed and put to a staff vote! Simply open a ticket to start an appeal in the #create-all-ticket-channel. To keep it as fair as possible, we as Staff can’t look at each action someone does and try to decide if it was bratting or not. The action itself equals bratting, not the intention.
You can earn having a strike removed. Open a ticket in #create-all-ticket-channel and request to have your strike removed. Once you formally make a request, Staff will set a 7 day reminder to check back with you. If you do not earn a strike within those 7 days, then a strike will be removed. This can be repeated until all strikes are removed. Strikes are not automatically removed after 7 days with no strikes, the 7 days start once you have made a formal request.
There are 10 strikes in the Server strike system. After 10 strikes, the count resets and starts back at 0. Every few strikes receive a punishment, increasing in difficulty until they reset. When a punishment has been earned, the brat will be placed in jail. The number of strikes a brat has received when placed in jail will reflect the severity of the punishment, not the length of time in room. A brat can not get out of jail until they negotiate, consent to, and complete a punishment.
Communication is absolutely vital. If there is an issue you have to speak up. You have to communicate and let someone know what’s going on whether it be the Brat Tamer or your spotter. You cannot come back after the fact and complain about something that happened during the punishment if you did not speak up during it. Safety falls on both parties. It is not a one-sided issue. If you cannot communicate properly to a Dominant or a spotter then you do not need to participate in any type of bratting in the server, nor in any type of punishment.
All punishments have the option of a spot check from a neutral party. A spotter is someone who is an advocate for both the sub and the Dominant, primarily during a Punishment, but also can be used while the sub is in jail. This way, at any time, if the brat feels they can’t reach out or need to end their scene, they can PM their spotter. Their spotter can alert the Brat Tamer and Staff that the scene needs to be ended or adjusted. This is not a tool to get out of jail. So if a brat or a spotter halts the scene, they must still negotiate and complete a punishment with the Brat Tamer selected or a new one.
When punishments are being issued, if the brat is owned, their Owner will be their default punisher as long as they have the Brat Tamer role. If a brat is unowned, or their owner is not in the server or not a Brat Tamer, then they must choose someone with the @Brat Tamer tag to issue and oversee their punishment. If a submissive or switch sub owns a submissive in the server, as long as both subs have the Brat role then the submissive owner in the dynamic can give their sub a strike. Proof of the completed punishment must be posted or completed in the server. When negotiating for a punishment, make sure you are clear with your limits and availability. Once a punishment is complete, the brat will be released from jail and will be given back access to the server.
NO FUNISHMENTS ALLOWED FOR PUNISHMENTS, this is what tasks and the Funishment system are for.
Access to the Aftercare text room, not VC room, will be available by request only while in jail. However, access will be removed if abused or used to chat when the brat isn’t reaching out for aftercare.
When you get put in jail for bratting, please keep in mind that it won’t be from the first strike you ever get, nor will it be from the second or third strike. Jail can be hard for some people, having access removed from the server can be very upsetting. This is why we offer access to aftercare if needed. If you are getting upset because you are in jail, take a break from the server. Come back when you have calmed down.
Remember, Discord can be powered down when it gets to emotional or too over whelming. The quicker you find a Brat Tamer, and complete a Punishment, the quicker you can be released from jail. Also keep in mind, what you say when you are upset, in and out of jail can’t be taken back. You can apologize for it, but you can’t unsay it.
